Support Melissa and Keith's Adoption Journey for Lily

My name is Pam and I am lucky enough to call Melissa one of my best friends in the world for the last 10 years. Back on April 30, 2024, Melissa’s first cousin, Alexis was admitted into the hospital for a malignant tumor on her spine. Alexis was 39, turning 40 in June. Alexis was also the mom of a beautiful little girl, Lily. By the middle of May the cancer had spread rapidly. On June 17, 2024, Alexis passed away. One of Alexis’s last wish was to have Melissa and Keith adopt Lily and without hesitation, Melissa and Keith being the awesome people that they are, started the process to add Lily to their loving family. Of course there are legalities and lawyers and many court dates which add up to many bills to pay. Lily has been living with Melissa and Keith since June and is very content and well cared for and most of all, loved. She has her own beautifully decorated bedroom and is treated as though she has lived there all along. Lily has been through a lot over the last few months, losing a mother is never easy but especially for a 10 year old little girl.
