Support Melissa and her family during this difficult time

This Gofundme has been created for my dear friend Melissa, who recently received the life-altering diagnosis of stage 2 malignant melanoma. These are words no one should ever have to hear, especially not someone with a heart like Melissa’s. Melissa is the kind of friend who always knows just what to say, offering her comfort and support no matter what challenges she’s facing herself. Melissa has a unique gift for lifting up those around her and bringing positivity and encouragement into the lives of the people she loves.

As a devoted mother of three boys and a nurse by profession, Melissa has spent her life caring for others. Now, she faces her own battle, one that comes with a heavy burden—both emotionally and financially. The costs of medical care, including numerous scans, tests, and blood work, have started to add up. Melissa has already had to take time off from work for these appointments and is preparing for an upcoming surgery. Unfortunately, at this point, there is a significant chance that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, which means she will need to begin continued treatments after surgery, resulting in ongoing medical bills.
