Support Melissa Allen's & family Fight Against Leukemia

Hello,

My name is Melissa Allen.

my husband is Judson Allen.

I am a 29-year-old mother of 5 babies who need me. Ages 10, 8, 7, 5, & 6 months,

I started this GoFundMe due to the hard truth that I have APL ( Acute promyelocytic ) leukemia .

I went to the dr hospital Friday for dehydration n ear pain. Upon a few test and such they decided to transfer me to the cancer center at well star MCG. Upon being transferred and doing flow test & lots of other test along with bone marrow test , it’s been decided I have APL leukemia. I’m currently still in the hospital undergoing chemo through a pix for in my arm and also chemo pill. I have just started treatment yesterday 4/21/25. The bills have started rolling in for the hospital . I’m on several different pills also to help prevent stuff. My white blood count and platelets are very low. I am unable to be around my children right now while I am here for 2-4 weeks due to one of the medication being toxic to children. So I’ve had to stop breastfeeding and say good bye to my children while doing this treatment. While in hospital first time 10-13 days are very close watch because I can get blood clots

After returning home , I will still be on chemo pill for many months and testing to make sure I got into remission and stay that way.

I’m starting this to help with bills and such due to Judson will be taking a leave at work (unpaid) to make sure everything is done and our families are watching our babies currently so he can be here to help me at the second .

Whatever the circumstances, it’s in God's hands.

I am not fully good with words right now as it’s a lot to process even writing this.
