Last night, our family experienced a devastating and unexpected loss.
My son-in-law, Leo passed away tragically and unexpectedly, leaving behind my daughter, Melissa, who is now facing this unimaginable reality on her own.
This has completely turned her world upside down.
Leo was deeply loved by those who knew him. He had a great smile and a dry but infectious sense of humor that could catch you off guard and stay with you. He loved music and had a great ear for it, always sharing songs and moments that brought people together.
From the very beginning, he called his mother-in-law “Mom,” and he truly meant it—he embraced family in a way that made people feel close to him instantly. Whenever he came over, he never just sat around—he was always offering to help with projects, fix things, or lend a hand wherever it was needed.
That was who Leo was—someone who showed up, cared deeply, and made an impact in the everyday moments that matter most.
In recent months, he had been working toward a fresh start and taking steps to rebuild. Just days before his passing, Leo had secured a new job and life was on a positive trajectory.
Melissa has lost not only her husband, but also her primary source of support and stability. She is now facing immediate financial uncertainty without a stable source of income.
Melissa is now preparing to relocate back to Las Vegas to be closer to family and rebuild her support system during this incredibly difficult time.
We are asking for support to help her through this critical period of loss and transition.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
- Immediate living expenses and financial stability
- Relocation costs as Melissa transitions back to Las Vegas
- Essential needs during this period of rebuilding and transition
- Any unforeseen expenses that arise during this difficult time
If you are able to contribute, any amount—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much to us.
Thank you for your support, your compassion, and for helping Melissa get through this incredibly difficult time.
