Recently, one of our beloved employees, Melissa, experienced an unimaginably tragic loss. Her husband, Jeramie, passed away after having a massive heart attack this past Friday morning. In a single moment, the future they had been building together was taken away. While navigating overwhelming grief, Melissa is also having to face unexpected financial burdens - things that no one should have to worry about during such an already devastating time. There are some very real and very immediate financial challenges ahead.

Jeramie was not only her partner, but her rock, her biggest supporter, and her family. They had only been married for a few years and were just starting their journey through life together. Jeramie was her world, and he would do anything for her. He was a skilled carpenter working for a small construction company helping to build their dreams. Melissa and Jeramie loved spending time sitting on the deck of their cabin, just breathing in the fresh air and taking in the view of their country getaway. They both loved and adored their cat, Cookie. The weight of her loss cannot be adequately stated.

We are raising funds to help Melissa cover essential urgent costs. This loss has been so unexpected and impossible to prepare for. Though she is doing her best to stay strong, the road ahead is long, and no one should walk it alone.

We wanted to create a GoFundMe to show Melissa that she is part of our family, or for those who simply want to offer kindness to someone in need, to be able to provide a little cushion as she takes this time to grieve.
