A little over a year ago, our world was turned upside down when my mother, Melinda, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Since then, her fight against this devastating disease has been filled with countless hospitalizations, doctors' appointments, and the constant care she needs. She is currently hospitalized this time for blood clots in both of her lungs, pneumonia & covid.

My father, Jason, is the sole provider for himself and my mother. He is a self-employed mechanic, and as many of you know, when he misses work, he doesn’t earn an income. With my mom’s ongoing treatments and the need for constant support, my dad has had to miss a significant amount of work. The stress of caring for my mom while also trying to keep up with the mounting bills and everyday expenses has been overwhelming for our family.
