Dear friends, family and supporters,
My wife of 33 years was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and Dementia in 2020 at the age of 53. We are now 4 years in and she is fully dependent on the care of others 24/7 around the clock.
She was a dedicated teacher for 29 years. She committed her life to teaching children. She taught over 4,000 students in Math and loved every minute of it.
Her other passion is her family, Jagger and his wife Taylor, Kylie and her husband Kane, Kiara, Kacie and her grandchildren Kensley and Kole. All of the family is involved in the care of Melinda.
In the last four years our income has significantly decreased as care has increased. As you can probably tell, there are both short and long term monetary impacts to my family.
This has been a very difficult decision to decide to create a go fund me and ask for help. My hope is that we can raise funds to support the increasing costs of medical supplies and visits, medications, home health care, ADA renovations and future needs (health care facilities).
Prayers and donations of any size is appreciated and will help us focus living in the present as we navigate the final stages of this horrible disease and the unknown that lies ahead.
