Update3: I went to see Melanie Sattaur yesterday. She’s still on the ECMO machine. It’s basically a bypass machine. It cycles her blood and oxygenates it. Bypasses her lungs that need all of the rest they can get right now. I asked if they had an idea of how long. The Nurse told me it’s up to the patient, and how their body reacts to the treatment. Days to weeks. Her vitals are all slightly, barely better. She’s very critical, but stable. Please donate to her gofundme. This is very hard on her family, especially financially. Unfortunately the new hospital, is an extra hour further. Which makes it even harder on her husband with the kids.

update 2: They are starting ECMO 8pm 1/17. This machine is the entire reason we needed a transport so badly. This will be very beneficial in her healing. Unfortunately her blood results did come back negative with Flu A. Please keep praying!

***update!

They are transporting her to Weschester right now! (10 AM 1/17). Her oxygen and saturation levels are better than yesterday so they are going to air lift her. The Dr told me she is now at 95% and not 100% WOOHOO. Let’s go girl

We are seeking urgent prayers for Melanie, who is hospitalized at Bon Secours Hospital in NY state. She is currently in the ICU on a ventilator, battling severe pneumonia in both lungs. As a devoted mother of six young children and wife of a Marine/Army Veteran, now pursuing a career as a State Trooper. Her family is deeply concerned. Melanie was recently discharged from the hospital over the Christmas-New Year's break, despite her blood work indicating a significant bacterial infection. Sent home with antibiotics. Unfortunately, her condition has worsened, and she is now back fighting for her life. She is in a medical induced coma. All of her levels are severely off. Due to her instability, transportation to a better-equipped hospital is not possible. ‘We’ tried multiple times on 1/16. She is at her MAX with every machine they have at Bom Secours. She needs her oxygen to become more stable to be transported. We request prayers for Melanie Sattaur and her family, as well as any support, including donations. This will be a long road to recovery and healing.
