Help Melanie King in Her Fight Against Breast Cancer

In December 2024, Melanie received the devastating news that she had breast cancer. Since then, she has faced this challenge with incredible strength and courage — enduring surgery, completing rounds of chemotherapy, and now preparing to begin radiation as well as other ongoing treatment to ensure the cancer will not return.

While her health insurance has helped cover much of her treatment so far, the road ahead is still long. The next phases of her recovery include ongoing medical care and specialized treatments to help rebuild her body — treatments that insurance will not cover.

In January, Melanie needed to quit her job to go through treatment. At the same time James has needed to take off quite a bit to accompany her to appts, etc. This has meant a loss of income on top of already mounting medical expenses.

We are hoping to raise $20,000 to help cover:

• Medical bills and out-of-pocket treatment costs

• Recovery and body-strengthening therapies not covered by insurance

• Basic living expenses while Melanie continues treatment and healing
