Hi. My name is Kate. This is my cousin, Mellissa.

Incredible friend, Sister, Mother, Aunt and so much more. Mel is best known for her fiery personality matched only by her strength, love of family and her never ending passion for helping others around her. Ever since we were kids, she would always be the first one to let you know when something was unjust. She has been the one to stand up for those with no voice, always the first one to come to your defence. Mel is daring and bold and is the strongest woman I know. Mel has always been an inspiration to me and everyone around her. She dreams big, loves hard and never gives up.

Mel’s strength and resilience in the face of adversity is truly remarkable. She has proved nothing less in her battle against cancer over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned again and she is back in the fight. While I have no doubt in her ability to kick cancer’s ass... (again), I really want to help ease some of the financial burden that regular cancer treatments have in life. That’s where we come in. If you and I could spare a little to help cover the cost of travel to appointments, the weight of utility bills, special medication and everything in between, this would help her focus more on her health and the battle she is in.
