The world is shining less today as we all have lost someone who brought so much happiness and brightness to any room that he walked into. If you were fortunate enough to meet Marty, you know one thing for certain: he was unforgettable. Marty was truly one of a kind. He cared deeply about his family and friends, and he loved getting to do what he loved in his career.

Marty was taken from us all too soon after his vehicle was struck by another vehicle while traveling home from work. On that day, as he left the office, he was talking about heading home and dinner plans with his family that night. Those who knew Marty also knew how much he loved his wife, Mel, and their six kids. They were his world, and he talked about them often. It is heartbreaking that he never got to come home that night.

Mel and the kids have a long road ahead, one that no family should ever have to walk. This fund is being created to help support Mel and the kids with the future and to be there for them in the way Marty was there for so many others whenever help was needed.

Marty will never be forgotten by those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him. He made us laugh more times than we can count, and his presence was a gift to everyone around him. Because of all the joy and kindness he gave so freely, we want to do whatever we can now for the family he loved so much.
