Dear friends and kind-hearted strangers,

I am writing with a heavy heart to share the sudden and unexpected loss of my dear friend, Suzanne. Suzanne was a loving, compassionate soul who brought warmth to everyone she knew, and one of the greatest joys of her life was her 15-year-old pitbull, Meka. Meka was more than a pet to Suzanne—she was a best friend, a loyal companion, and a huge part of her life.

Suzanne’s home was always open to us and our two dogs, Loki and Tater, and in turn, we were Meka’s second family. Since Suzanne’s passing, Meka has come to live with us—we know that this is exactly what Suzanne would have wanted. Meka deserves the love, comfort, and care she’s always known, and we are committed to providing her with the best life possible, especially in her senior years.

However, as many know, caring for an older dog can come with unforeseen expenses. We want to make sure that Meka has the best possible care in her senior years, including regular vet visits, medication, and any emergency care that may arise. That’s why we’re starting this GoFundMe— to help create a cushion fund for Meka’s future veterinary needs and ensure that we can provide her with the best life possible as she adjusts life without her mom.
