Meister was taken to general practice and hospitalized on 12/10, until the morning of 12/11 for a suspected foreign body due to vomiting, not eating, and not pooping for 3 days. He was discharged, and while at home was pacing, crying, and licking his rear end raw. I knew something was still very wrong and took him to VEG Marietta. After x-rays, enemas, and lots of waiting without defecation, the radiology report suggested doing an exploratory laparotomy to see if there are any foreign bodies, as his small intestines were bunched together. He went into surgery, 1am 12/12. Surgery revealed that stool had backed up into his cecum, a mucus producing organ. The stool had to be manually pushed out of his colon. Luckily, there were no foreign bodies. All funds raised will be returned to my father, who was kind enough to pay up front for this lifesaving surgery right before Christmas.
