Support Mei's Surgery: Student in Need

Hello all, thank you for taking the time to read our story.

I am currently trying to raise money for my cat, Mei. Mei is an 9-year old shelter rescue that i brought home in 2016 as an highschool freshman. She has been so prevalent and important in my life ever since. I cannot imagine a life without her, she is my best friend.

Around late November of 2024 I noticed Mei had been vomiting non chewed food very frequently. I am currently a full time Veterinary Technician student so I felt the need to check her teeth and make sure that this wasn’t a dental issue preventing her from using all of her teeth. Unfortunately, upon checking her teeth i noticed a lesion on her right side pre molar. I took her into a local vet clinic & our veterinarian diagnosed her with having a resorptive lesion. She said this was common for a cat her age but that it can worsen and cause infection. I was able to get an estimate for the procedure and the bloodwork that is not included in the overall dental cost (pictured). The clinic was and is still offering a promotion on a dental exam but, with christmas just around the corner at that time, I could not afford to pay for the surgery and could only pay for some temporary oral pain meds (gabapentin).

Luckily, the clinic is still offering this promotion but as a full time student- i still cannot afford this surgery on my own. In 2023, Mei had to undergo an exploratory surgery because she ate a hair tie- it ran me around 1,000 to keep her at the vets overnight for 3 days and I am still recovering.

I would be extremely grateful for any donations of any amount to help my cat feel comfortable again. I’m extremely worried her resorptive lesion might worsen & cause more issues as time goes on. Any and all help is deeply appreciated.
