Support Meika's Healing Journey

On Monday, 11/11, Meika was rushed to the emergency room after a series of febrile seizures at home following a common cold. She was stabilized there but because she was still Tachycardic, she was transferred to Children’s hospital and admitted for observation. Her situation worsened overnight and quickly became life threatening. After a very scary few days, lumbar punctures and MRI’s, it was determined Meika had Mengioencephalitis of an unknown origin. Tests have been unable to confirm where it originated, but it is thought to have come from a sinus infection gone rogue.

Meika is in for a very long road ahead. She will need extended physical therapy to get back to her happy, spunky self. While her vitals are now stable, she is still very sick and the extent of her ICU and hospital stay is currently unknown.

Jess is the sole provider for the family of 5 and is running through her remaining PTO, but it won’t be enough to cover expenses. Any help is appreciated.
