Meg’s New Liver - Meg Wilson

Donation protected

This is my sister, Meg.

For the last 10-11 years, Meg has fought an autoimmune disease which destroyed her liver (Primary Biliary Cholangitis).

Last week, she suddenly and unexpectedly got a call that she was a “backup” recipient for a healthy, new liver. That call was a life changer, because she was told her time had come and she would actually be the recipient of the liver.

We were all thrilled that this life saving opportunity had been given to her. Thankfully, she has excellent insurance, because without it, the $700,000 + surgery wouldn’t have been possible.

The cost for the surgery, follow up, medications and already accumulated medical treatment bills have placed significant financial stress on her family.  Additionally, she was forced to retire from her career in teaching, reducing her family’s income at the same time her sons are beginning their college careers.

Many friends and former students have asked how they can help Meg and Stuart. It seems to us that seeing if we could help them have less money-related stress at this critical time of healing might be the best gift we could give.

Just $15 ,000 would be a Godsend to them right now.

If you know Meg, Stuart, Ben or Conner and can donate, we know any amount would be appreciated. If you aren’t currently able to donate, sharing this link with other individuals, friends or church groups and letting them know that you know personally of this need would help us get the word out,

Let’s rally together to help Meg celebrate her new lease on life!

Thanks so much.

Jenny
