On Saturday evening, tragedy struck Meghan, someone so incredibly special to me, and her family in a way no family should ever endure. Faulty wiring in Meghan’s home sparked a fire that quickly consumed nearly everything inside. By grace alone, Meghan and her two daughters—ages 10 and just 7 (she celebrated her birthday this weekend), and her parents who live with her —were not in the house when it happened.

While their lives were spared, their world has been turned upside down. The damage is catastrophic. The house remains standing, but the inside is completely destroyed by flames, smoke, and water. Meghan and her girls have lost 90–95% of all their belongings: clothing, shoes, furniture, keepsakes, and nearly every memory they held within those walls.

If you know Meghan, you know she is one of the most selfless, kindhearted, giving individuals you will ever meet. She is an incredible mother, a woman of remarkable strength, and the type of person who is always first to help others—yet would never ask for help herself. That is why I am asking on her behalf.

Right now, Meghan and her daughters need us. They need a community to rally around them so they can take the first steps to rebuild and begin again. Every single contribution, big or small, will help provide them with clothing, essentials, and a foundation to restore some sense of normalcy in the wake of this devastation.
