Hi! My name is Amy Hefner, and this GoFundMe is for my niece Meghan, her husband Steven and their unborn daughter.

Since getting married in July of 2022, Meghan and Steven have experienced three consecutive health crisis. In March 2023, Meghan and Steven suffered a particularly complicated and painful pregnancy loss of their first child. Shortly after, Steven was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and underwent surgery to remove his thyroid gland. He is under continuous medical surveillance to detect any resurgence of the cancer.

In December 2023, Meghan and Steven discovered they were pregnant with their rainbow baby and in early 2024 learned they were having a baby girl; however Meghan began experiencing complications and learned her placenta was completely covering her cervix, which puts her at risk for premature labor and requires a preterm C-Section. In early April, she was admitted to the hospital after a heavy bleed and learned, additionally, that part of her placenta had pulled away from her uterus, putting both she and her daughter at risk- Meghan at risk for severe hemorrhage and her daughter at risk of being born extremely preterm. She is currently on bedrest at St Joseph's hospital in Tacoma.

We are praying fervently everyday for Meghan and her daughters safety as well as a cancer-free report for Steven. As you can imagine, with three major health issues concentrated in 1.5 years, Meghan and Steven have accrued significant medical bills.
