At the time of the year when spending time with family is so precious, it is heartbreaking to share that my daughter, Meghan Kittok, is in the hospital fighting for her life and the life of her unborn child. At 30 weeks along, she has been diagnosed with gestational hypertension and severe preeclampsia. With the high risk of stroke or seizures, it is unsafe for her to be outside of the hospital until she reaches at least 34 weeks, when they hope to either induce her or, if needed, perform a c-section.

With Meghan being unable to work during this time, the loss of income, the medical costs, and the fact that she needs to be in a hospital with a special NIC Unit that is an hour away from any family, the emotional and financial burden is overwhelming for her and her husband Vincent, especially since he must continue to work and take care of their two young toddlers at home.

As her mother, it breaks my heart to watch my daughter and her family go through such a difficult time.
