Many of you know Jim Ranieri. He is a husband, a father of four, a friend to so many in this community, and the founder of Beow’s Books & Brews. Over the last two years he has poured his heart and soul into building Beow’s as a place of warmth, hospitality, and belonging. It has become a haven where people gather, connect, and feel known.

This week Jim was unexpectedly hospitalized with serious heart complications, including dangerously low heart function. After several procedures, including a cardiac ablation, doctors are confident he is now on a much better path to recovery.

Jim is a devoted husband to Meghan, who serves as a teacher at Trinity Academy, a community Jim also poured himself into for many years as a teacher, coach, and Director of Discipleship. He continues to serve the broader Raleigh community with that same heart for people through his work at Beow’s. Jim is also the proud father of Jack (15), Mary Claire (13), Joy (10), and Mollie (4).

As a small business owner in a season of growth, a major medical crisis brings significant financial strain. Hospitalization, lifesaving cardiac care, and ongoing treatment will result in very high medical bills.

We trust the Lord fully in this unexpected season. We also believe there are moments when humility calls us to let the community God has given us help carry the burden.

Jim and his family are grateful for every prayer, every encouragement, and every gift that lightens the load during recovery.
