My sister and her children started Father’s Day suffering a devastating loss. My sister's other half, her everything, her husband, passed away unexpectedly. Leaving her and their children without a partner, without a father. Mike was a goofy, funny, all-around genuinely good man who did everything for his wife and kids. You couldn’t help but love the man. The pain that comes from losing Mike who was such a genuinely good kind caring soul, there aren’t any words that could really describe what our family has had taken and it’s saddening to think of a world that goes on without Mike here with us all. His wife and children are grieving in a way I wish no family ever had to. The loss of a spouse a parent it’s truly heartbreaking that they are having to suffer through such pain and tragedy. The proceeds will be to help Mikes family to be able to take time to grieve their loss and have time to figure to somehow navigate going forward without their loved one that has been ripped away from them to soon. To lose a spouse and a parent so unexpectedly… I can’t begin to fathom what my sister, my nieces, and nephews are going through. Even having lost my children’s father and going through that grief, you can never prepare yourself for that pain and suffering; it’s unimaginable it’s even more devastating for the children so the hope is to at the very least lessen other hardships that also come with losing a loved one. Mike touched so many people and his family was his everything. I’m grateful that my sister had such a dedicated loving husband but more than anything that my nieces and nephews were so fortunate to have had such an amazing dedicated father. I wish that they had gotten more time but im most grateful that Mike made the time they did have with him so memorable and amazing most don’t get a fraction of what he gave in that time.
