The Asheville community and the greater Appalachian region were devastated by the damage and ripple effects of Hurricane Helene. While the damage is vast and deep, and we have a long road of recovery ahead, I have been particularly affected by the destruction of my therapy office (pictured above). The building was flooded and fully destroyed. I have lost a space to provide clients care, along with the loss of all my belongings inside.
As my group practice looks for a new office space, I am in need of financial support for the following:
- to rebuild what was lost in my therapy room including furniture, books, therapy tools, art, lighting, play therapy toys, art supplies, and other items to provide a safe and comforting environment
- to subsidize the income lost while I am unable to see clients
- to offer sliding scale services to those in need of mental health care during this time
