Update—
Megan’s getting a new heart today (October 14, 2025) It’s been such a hard wait, but the bittersweet time has come!
SHE’S DOING THE HARDEST PART—NOW SHE NEEDS OUR HELP
Megan Hand is no stranger to fighting for her life.
At just 14 years old, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She endured months of chemotherapy and radiation—and she survived. But the very treatments that saved her life silently damaged her heart.
Two decades later, that damage caught up with her. Megan went into heart failure and underwent her first heart transplant. That new heart gave her more time. More laughter. More love. More life.
But it hasn’t been easy.
She’s battled ongoing rejection, undergone multiple procedures, and had to receive an artificial valve—each procedure is a reminder of the fragility of life and the strength of her will.
Now, Megan is needing a second heart transplant. Her sweet donor heart has tried—but it’s tired.
After doing every test needed to get her listed for another heart transplant, Megan will continue to be in the hospital until the perfect heart becomes available. Her spirit remains unshakable—but the financial weight is immense.
Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are overwhelming:
• Time off work for Megan and her husband, Geremy
• Lifelong post-operative care
• Prolonged hospital stay
• Anti-rejection medications
• Everyday living costs
• And so much more that comes with living with a heart transplant
Megan has always shown up for others—fiercely, selflessly, and with so much love.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Please consider donating, sharing, and sending your love and prayers.
Every bit helps. Every dollar counts. Every share spreads hope.
With heartfelt gratitude,
