Hi family! It humbles me to muster up the courage to share the saddened news with what my mother has been faced with over the past couple weeks and ask for your help. My name is Megan, a DPT student who is not working full time at moment due to my rigorous curriculum. A couple of weeks ago hurricane Milton, decided to blast through the Ellenton, FL area where my ma lives. Unfortunately, she was not able to withstand the hurricane and her home was destroyed. It has been chaotic for her to try and deal with FEMA and other emergency relief. FEMA denied her request for assistance, and we are trying to navigate the appeals process now. At this moment, my mother is losing hope and I am trying to lift her spirits in this time of need.

I’m starting this Gofundme page to try and help my mother raise money to make her home livable again. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to making repairs needed to make her house safe and dry.
