Hi. My name is Alyce and I'm raising funds for my friend, Megan Daugherty, who has been diagnosed with end stage liver failure. Megan is currently on the liver transplant list and is unable to work due to her illness. Medical expenses are piling up and the loss of income has put more pressure on the family. The funds raised by this appeal will go directly to Megan.

Here is Megan's story in her own words.

Hi my name is Megan Daugherty I live in Kennesaw, Georgia with my husband and daughter. I am active in my church and community. I have spent my career living out my passion of helping people. I like to cook, read and laugh.

In June of 2023 I landed in the hospital for several days. After many tests, procedures and visits I was diagnosed with liver disease and then End Stage Liver Disease. No one ever thinks a life threatening illness will happen to them until it does. This has been the hardest journey of my whole life and now I am in need of a lifesaving liver transplant.

Transplants are very expensive and even with health insurance the lifelong costs are very high. There are non covered medical expenses, anti rejection drugs, transportation costs and loss of income due to the illness. I am so thankful for all the love, prayers, support, well wishes, family, friends and team of medical professionals along the way.
