Hi, my name is Madi, and I’m raising funds for my dear friend Megan Smith, who was recently involved in a severe horse accident at Estes Skijor.

Megan sustained serious injuries, including a fractured vertebra, broken ribs, and a wrist injury that will require surgery. She is facing a long road to recovery, and the medical bills and time away from work will add even more strain during an already difficult season.

Megan is truly a ray of sunshine. She moved to Meeker, Colorado two summers ago after meeting her husband, Pat Smith, at a Skijor event. Since then, she and her two kids have fully embraced the ranching lifestyle. Anyone who knows Megan knows she brings joy and energy wherever she goes — especially during branding season, which she somehow manages to make everyone’s favorite time of year.

As most of us know, ranching is a labor of love, not something anyone does for the paycheck. During this time, this family could really use the support of their community.
