Support Megan's Fight Against Cancer and Autoimmune Diseases

Donation protected
Megan is a devoted wife and incredible mother of four beautiful children – two little girls (ages 3 and 4) and two older boys (18 and 21). She's the anchor of her family, always putting their needs first, even while facing her own health struggles. For the past 2.5 years, Megan has been on an incredibly challenging medical journey that would test anyone's strength.

She's battled EGPA (a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of blood vessels), rheumatoid arthritis (causing painful joint inflammation), and Hashimoto's disease (an autoimmune thyroid condition). This relentless series of diagnoses has meant countless doctor's appointments, invasive tests (including muscle biopsies and bone marrow aspirations), a hysterectomy, and multiple hospitalizations for serious infections, including sepsis.

Just when she thought she was finally finding some answers and stability, she received devastating news just before her 40th birthday: she has invasive ductal and lobular carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer that has already spread to her lymph nodes (Stage 3).

Throughout these past few years, Megan's husband, Dan, has been her constant and dedicated supporter. He's been by her side through countless appointments, hospital stays, and the emotional rollercoaster of multiple diagnoses and treatments. For almost three years now, Dan has been working 70+ hours a week to keep their family afloat, all while caring for their four children and providing unwavering love and support to Megan as she navigates EGPA, rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto's disease, and now this devastating breast cancer diagnosis. With the upcoming treatment plan—including 16 rounds of three different types of chemotherapy over the next 5 months, followed by intense radiation therapy, and ultimately, a bilateral mastectomy and lymph node removal—Megan faces a long road to recovery, likely taking up to 2 years.

Despite these overwhelming challenges, Megan remains a beacon of strength and positivity. She's determined to fight for her health so she can be there for her family and watch her children grow. But they can't do it alone.

Megan's grueling treatment plan will push her to her limits. Last week, she began the first part of this journey: 16 rounds of chemotherapy. The physical, emotional, and financial toll of this treatment plan will be immense.

We're starting this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burden so Megan and her family can focus on healing and staying strong together.

The funds raised will go towards:
Medical expenses: Surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, medications, and other treatments for both her breast cancer and her existing autoimmune conditions.
Living expenses: Rent, utilities, groceries, and other daily necessities while Megan is unable to work.
Childcare costs: Helping with childcare expenses for their young daughters while Megan undergoes treatment.
Transportation costs: Getting to and from medical appointments.
Complementary therapies: To support Megan's physical and emotional well-being, such as acupuncture, massage, or counseling.

Any amount you can contribute will make a significant difference in their lives. Even if you can't donate, please share this campaign with your friends and family. Your support, whether financial or emotional, means the world to Megan and her family during this incredibly difficult time.

Megan is a fighter. She's faced every challenge with grace and determination. Let's rally around her and her family and show them that they're not alone in this fight.

Thank you for your generosity and for helping Megan and her family reclaim their health and well-being!
