On March 15, 2026, my best friend, Megan, and her partner, Mike, experienced the heartbreaking loss of their unborn son, Michael Jr., during their third trimester. There are no words that can make sense of a loss like this. Michael was deeply loved, longed for, and will always be part of their family.
Right now, their world has been changed in ways that are impossible to put into words, and what they need most is time, space, privacy, and gentleness as they grieve.
I am organizing this fundraiser on their behalf because they are very private people and would never feel comfortable asking for help themselves. Those who know them know their strength, their love, and the quiet way they move through life with dignity.
In this painful moment, I wanted to create a way for others to surround them with care.
The purpose of this fundraiser is simple. It is to help ease the financial pressure that can follow such a devastating loss, so they do not have to rush back to work before they are ready.
Any support will go toward giving them the breathing room to rest, mourn, care for one another, their children, and begin to heal without the immediate weight of financial strain.
If you feel moved to give, any amount is deeply appreciated. If you are not in a position to donate, your kindness, prayers, love, and support still mean so much. There is no obligation, only an opportunity to care for them in a meaningful way during an unimaginable time.
If there are friends or loved ones you believe would want to support them, please feel welcome to share.
Thank you for holding Megan, Mike, and Michael Jr. in your hearts.
With love,
Aimee
