Support Megan McCartney’s Fight Against Sarcoma

Hi all. I am a friend of Megan McCartney and I wanted to do the one thing that I know will help make her day to day a little easier.

For those who know Megan already, we know that there is no one more deserving than she is of our help. She is a force to be reckoned with and her unwavering faith is what inspired me to befriend her a few years ago. Her journey and struggle with her Cancer diagnosis has been a tough one to watch play out, especially this last couple of years when she was almost to remission and right after having her baby boy this disease came back worse than before. No matter how hard she fights it seems that it just keeps coming back time after time. Every time we see a glimpse of hope she gets yet another piece of life shattering news.

Most recently she is now hit with the news of sarcoma metastasis found in her lung, airway, and lymph node —which is why breathing has been nothing but a struggle for weeks for her. This news coming immediately after she’s done yet another radiation treatment for the previous find.

I cannot begin to imagine how she wakes up everyday, raises a toddler, and works part time to keep afloat with bills and life’s necessities. My wish for her is to use whatever time God has planned for her life, to just focus on keeping herself going, keeping herself as physically strong as she can while fighting this yet again. She deserves to enjoy making memories for her son every minute she can right now, because we truly don’t know what the next year will look like for her.

Megan has been working at Chick-fil-a in between countless doctor’s visits, Emergency room trips, and treatment appointments all while trying to keep up with a super cute—super busy— 2 year old, Meyer. There is no one more deserving of a simple gesture from anyone who can help. I genuinely do not know how she has even an ounce of strength left in her but she is a true fighter.

I am asking anyone who can, to please please please help us raise as much money possible to build a source of financial support for Megan while she decides what comes next in this unfathomable diagnosis.

MEGAN NEVER STOPS FIGHTING. And more importantly…she is genuinely the kindest soul you’ll ever meet with the BEST personality. Her sense of humor is absolutely hilarious and her faith in our Lord to carry her through this is inspirational. But it’s been a long, hard fight, and it’s wearing on her more than it ever has. She is so beautiful and so strong we forget sometimes how sick she actually is.

We are not giving up hope, and we are still waiting for God to show us the miracle we’ve been praying so hard for. Instead we are facing the reality in front of her, and doing what we can to support her in the meantime. Truly thankful for anyone who can donate. Updates will be added as we get them.
