I know there are a lot of us out there who, like me, adore this lovely lady, Megan Klammer, and who have witnessed her facing a multitude of medical and personal challenges in the last several years with her usual strength, humor, and general bad-assery. She's been cutting my hair for over a decade, and as you all know, is a true artist, but like so many creatives in this economy, has no safety net to fall back on when she’s not able to work. After three years of dealing with chemo, multiple specialists, and having her face cave in, she has finally been able to get her face rebuilt but has had to take multiple long stretches of unpaid leave to make that possible. Additionally, in the last three months, a major life transition has tripled her living expenses just as she's scheduled to go in for another surgery on her nose on August 13 and is facing the probable permanent loss of her eye. She also is still without a clear diagnosis to explain what’s been causing these problems.

Funds raised will help cover Megan’s living expenses during her recovery, giving her the time she needs to heal without the added worry of bills piling up.
