Megan and I met in the intensive bench jewelers program we are currently taking in Portland, OR. Megan faces a series of unexpected challenges that make the prospect of remaining in the program until it ends in May seem impossible.

Megan lost her CPT and SNAP benefits when she moved to PDX for school earlier this month because they were tied to her residency on her reservation in Washington. As a full-time student, she doesn’t have the time to work enough hours to support herself and her sweet dog, Daisy. Things became even more difficult when she abruptly lost housing halfway through the second week of the term, leaving her in urgent need of support.

Megan urgently needs financial assistance to help with daily living costs including rent, food, healthcare, and gas. All funds received will go directly to Megan to help with day-to-day life so that she can focus on school and finding safe and stable housing. Any support you can offer will make a huge difference for Megan and Daisy as they get through the coming weeks/months.
