Support Megan Boone's Fight for Justice

My name is Megan Boone and I need help to hire a lawyer. I was sexually assaulted June 2024 at my place of work while on the clock by my coworker. I went to management the same day. After a month of hearing nothing about my case, I went to the union. I was notified that my management had filed nothing about my claim to the union, nor HR. Within the second month of the day I was assaulted, store management refused to meet with me and the union. During the third month, management and the union had a meeting without me. Store management decided to lie to my union representative about calling me three times in order to inform me of the meeting. Due to this lie, my case was closed. During all of this time, I was forced to work with the man who sexually assaulted me. My anxiety got worse along the way, leading to multiple panic attacks while working. It got to the point where I would black out and wake up on the floor. I told management about my mental health and they threatened me. If I didn't work my full 8 hours, I would be terminated. I couldn't get through my last shift, so I had no choice but to resign. I was forced to work with my attacker for 4 months.

Due to how bad all of this affected my mental health, I was unable to work for 2 months. I am currently only able to work 3 days every week due to my inability to be around people I do not know. I don't leave my home unless I'm with someone I 100% trust or if I have an obligation to my job. I am on 3 different anxiety medications along with therapy. I have zero health insurance; everything is out of pocket.

I need help to make sure this corporation is held accountable for their blatant disrespect and inhumane actions which have ruined my life.

June 2025

I decided to work 6 out of 7 days a week for 2 weeks in order to help fund my expenses. Unfortunately, it back fired and took away more funds. I ended up suffering from a neck/ back injury and went to an urgent care. I wouldn't have gone if it wasn't so bad. I was in constant pain and couldn't move my neck without crying. Due to not having medical insurance, I paid out of pocket just to be seen by a medical professional. I had to take some time off of work which helped my injury, but not my expenses. End of the month I am back at work, taking it slowly because I still have a little pain due to my injury.

July 2025

My lawyer has finally submitted the lawsuit but now I owe them more money for all they have done so far. I don't doubt there are more expenses to come. I'm told I have to pay for things upfront like deposition costs, trial witness subpoenas, and filing legal documents once things progress further. I don't have the personal means of acquiring these funds so I'm here to ask for help.
