Megan Baur is my best friend, and she has always been there for me and everyone she loves. Just two weeks ago, the father of her four-year-old son, Elijah, unexpectedly passed away. Today, Megan and Elijah were involved in a car accident, adding even more stress and hardship to an already overwhelming situation. Megan is facing funeral expenses for Danny, her son's father, and is struggling to supplement Danny's income until she can receive social security benefits. There are also medical expenses from before Danny passed, as well as new medical bills from the accident.

Megan has a heart of gold. When I lost everything—my house, my car, and was sleeping in an abandoned box truck—she was the only person who welcomed me into her home. She let me shower, wash my clothes, and eat, and when it got cold, she insisted I move in with her, even though she didn't have the space. Megan always gives 150% to those she loves, even if she only has ten to give. She is currently having difficulties with her own heart and is in and out of the hospital trying to figure out the problem. On top of everything, she takes care of her disabled father at home, and her son Elijah has Autism and severe speech delays.
