Alright it’s 1 week since brain surgery, I’m home!
Donation protected
So! Surgery was one week ago, I am beyond grateful, and happy to be home. I wrote this yesterday but I’m only typing this today which is Thursday and surgery was last Wednesday so please forgive me.
So due to the weather we went to the hotel across from KU so we could walk over if the roads were bad and as most of you know, they were bad. After two nights of hotel and being away from home earlier than planned it was the day. To avoid taking time from you the rest is brief-ish-er.
The surgery went well. Considering that once my skull was open it was quickly seen coming out of the bone above my left ear. They did what they do and in about seven hours everything was done and well.
Waiting and waking up I was walking with the cane the same day. All hail KU!!! You know how it goes with recovery and I was in good hands.
Financially speaking it looks to be about 7,000 once it goes through insurance. I still pay about $300 every month to Medicaid so it will cover each month anything else not covered by Medicare.
It didn’t used to be like that but the past year it has, you pay for the months you need coverage.
I’m very close to everything being covered by donations. Seriously so close and I had zero idea that would happen and I am and always will be grateful.
If you helped before do NOT help again please. I do not accept it and you don’t need to do it:) and thank you. If it doesn’t work for you right now please don’t worry about it! After all I couldn’t exactly do it recently or now either, sometimes we can’t and that’s okay. I love prayers and positive thoughts beyond measure.
Mostly I’m hoping all is wonderful with you and I’m so glad this is behind me!
Grateful,
Megan Garrison
