As many of you know, I've grown up around here all my life. I've met so many wonderful people, mostly through kids and my career as a registered nurse.

I want to tell you about a friend of mine. Some of you may know her, Meg Lane. She has 5 beautiful kids, ages 12, 14, 16, 17, and 22. She coached for volleyball.

My dear friend Meg has been diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer at the age of 42. As many of you know, this is a passion of mine as I was an infusion/chemo nurse at NLH.

Meg and her husband, Josh, who has been a very strong support, will be going through the most difficult thing a person can go through, all while trying to raise their children as normally as possible. Meg starts her chemo journey soon, every two weeks. Anything helps! I'm adding a website for Amazon for a few wish list items, but again, anything helps.

We are a community; let's come together when we are in a time of need!
