Support Meelo's end of life care

Hi friends,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for mutual aid during one of the most difficult times of my life. My sweet baby boy Meelo is at the end of his life. He’s nearly eighteen years old and is suffering from stage four kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, and anemia. He's been going through treatment, but things have rapidly progressed, and it's time for me to let go.

Unfortunately, after around $2,000 in vet bills over the course of his treatment, the cost of in-home euthanasia is more than I can manage on my own right now. He’s been such a loyal, comforting companion through so many chapters of my life, and I want to give him a peaceful, loving goodbye at home.

Meelo is the best boy, and it's so hard to imagine life without him. I literally can hardly recall life before him. It would mean the world to me if he were able to cross the Rainbow Bridge, not in some sterile vet's office, but in the comfort of his home, surrounded by love.

If you're able to contribute anything, no matter how small, it would make a world of difference. I've never asked for money before, and it is incredibly uncomfortable, but there's nothing I wouldn't do for my little orange boy.
