Help Meeka Fight Osteosarcoma

A little over a week ago, my world stopped.

Meeka was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer. Since that day, every decision has been heavy, emotional, and guided by one simple truth: we are not ready to say goodbye.

We are moving forward with radiation and chemotherapy, and we are also trying to get her enrolled in a vaccine clinical trial that may help slow the progression of this disease. I know this isn’t a cure. I know this is, in many ways, a bandaid. But it is a bandaid that may give us more time more days, more memories, more moments where she gets to be her. And right now, that means everything to me.

As of 2/3/2026:

Meeka has received her first dose of Zoledronate. I've had her consult with the Radiation Oncologist. She has had her pre-radiation CT Scan. There is a plan for about a week after radiation to start oral chemotherapy.
I will continue to update on where she is at. And any vaccine trial updates.

Meeka came into my life when I was sad, lost, and alone. I wasn’t a version of myself I’m proud of, but she loved me anyway. Through her unwavering loyalty, goofy personality, and quiet comfort, she helped me heal. She helped me grow. She helped me become the person I am today.

Because of her, I chose a career in veterinary medicine. Because of her, I learned what compassion, resilience, and unconditional love truly look like.

To help cover the cost of her treatment, I’ve taken out a loan that will cover a large portion, but not all of the expenses. Between oncology visits, radiation, chemotherapy, imaging, medications, the potential clinical trial, and the cost of transportation the costs add up quickly. This fundraiser is to help bridge that gap so I can focus on giving Meeka the best quality of life possible for as long as I’m lucky enough to have her.

If you’re lucky enough to have met my girl you know how truly wonderful and kind she is. She is everything good in this world, packed into one small 50LB being.

If you’re able to donate, share, or even just keep Meeka in your thoughts, please know how deeply grateful I am. This isn’t easy to ask, but it’s worth it for her.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring.
