Hello Everyone! ^__^

This is my first time being openly vulnerable about my healthy journey, so thank you for listening (=

It all started when my cat was cuddling on my chest, a typical relaxing night for me; however, this time I felt a noticeable discomfort. I palpated a seemingly small lump on my left breast region. When I initially discovered the mass, facing cancer was a passing thought given the inconsistency with my young age and family history. As the mass progressively grew each month, I began weighing the emotional worry it would cause my family along with the financial and lack of insurance concerns against the likelihood of cancer.

I was initially diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. With the support of my loved ones and care team, I fully recovered through my 2 surgeries. The following plan was to then begin my chemotherapy cycle; however, my scan revealed that I had progressed to stage 4 cancer. At the time, I was on my way to finally begin physician assistant (PA) school, but ultimately decided to let go of that path to prioritize my health. Though the uncertainty was often overwhelming and intimidating, my journey has granted me many unexpected blessings. I evaluated what truly fulfilled me, a privilege I often pushed aside trying to hit every milestone. ~(•_•)~

I am currently on a form of medication that definitely has its impacting symptoms, but I feel like I am finally getting a better handle on them. Any support will help with my previous medical bills, while I transition towards finding a new path for myself.

LASTLY HEHE this November, I will also be doing something very out of my comfort zone. I was nominated to walk as a model for St. Jude’s “A Walk Among the Stars Fashion Show” to fundraise for improving diagnostic tools and care for future cancer patients. So, I will also be donating a portion of your support towards that as well!

With it also being breast cancer awareness month, I hope that my story can encourage everyone to better prioritize your health and well-being. AND ALSO to try prioritizing more things that bring about happiness and laughter even amidst the chaos of life (=
