Our cat Meatloaf had to have emergency surgery yesterday to save his life after being diagnosed with a condition that had eaten away a large portion of his large intestine. At first, they told us there wasn’t hope of saving him, and he’d have to be euthanized. Then, they found that the damage was slightly better than thought, completed the surgery, and recommended emergency hospital care. The biggest risk at this point is development of sepsis, and we’re told recovery is going to be a long road if he makes it.

This has frankly wiped us out financially, with the total cost being $4400-$5400 depending on how much the hospital ends up charging. Credit cards at their limits, no savings. We really appreciate any support anyone is willing to share, whether that be the kindness of your prayers, thoughts, time, or donations.
