Mark is raising this fundraiser for his sister, Meagan Simmons, after a devastating skydiving accident changed everything in an instant. On Meagan’s 50th birthday, a wind gust collapsed the chute and she fell 30 feet to the ground. The injuries from the fall required emergency decompression of her spinal cord and spinal fusion, and she is now in the ICU. This tragedy came just as Meagan had moved to California for a fresh start and a new job, making an already overwhelming situation even more difficult for her and the people who love her. Anyone who knows Meagan knows how kind, loving, and positive she is, and how much light she brings to others.

The funds raised will help ease the burden of mounting medical bills while Meagan receives critical care, and will also support the cost of getting her to Craig Hospital in Denver for the intensive rehabilitation she needs. She is expected to need several months of intensive rehab in hopes of being able to walk again, and the road ahead will be long.
