Support me Studying Spanish in Mexico

Hello friends and fam :)! As you might already know, I am working towards a bachelors at The University of Oregon. I am majoring in Theater Arts and minoring in Spanish. This summer I have an opportunity, through the UO, to study Spanish abroad in Mexico. It is a 6 week long immersion language program, where I will also earn 12 credits. I will be staying with a host family and studying Spanish at the University of Queretaro with other students.
I am really excited at the opportunity to study Spanish in a more immersive environment. Spanish is very important to me and my family. My mom is from Guatemala and my grandma lives in Mexico. I grew up with the language, but never had the opportunity to become fluent.
In addition to the personal cultural importance of Spanish, This opportunity will assist me in achieving my dreams. One of my dreams is to teach theater to kids and I believe knowing Spanish will allow me to create a more inclusive and enriching teaching environment. Another dream is to play bilingual theater and cinema roles with more authenticity. Beyond these goals, I want to be able to connect further to the people in my life who are native speakers and to those who I have yet to meet.
The program has a price of $6,000, I am asking for $4,000 to help cover the tuition, food, housing and transportation. I am asking you, my community for help, my dad, who was the main income provider for our family, passed away and money has been harder to come by since.
Thank you all so much for your generous support of my dreams and aspirations,
Chago
