My name is Victoria, I’m 18 years old and I’m from Porto, Portugal.

Dance has been an essential part of my life since I can remember. I mostly dance urban styles but at certain point I decided to develop my career and joint Balleteatro while also making part of the group We Exist until now. This year I was accepted at my dream dance University, Amsterdam University of the Arts, Academie Voor Theather en Danse (ATD) in the Expanded Contemporary Dance program. Despite my big desire to study there, nothing is possible without enough financial resources. I have already saved some money throughout the year, but since this is a big life change and there is no kind of support from the Portuguese government, what I managed to gather isn’t enough to support myself until I find some stability there. That’s why I created this GoFundMe. I know that many people may not be able to help financially, but just by sharing it, you’re already helping!

Chamo-me Victoria, tenho 18 anos e sou do Porto, Portugal.

A dança tem sido uma parte essencial da minha vida desde que me lembro. Danço sobretudo estilos urbanos, mas em determinado momento decidi progredir na minha carreira e juntei-me ao Balleteatro, desde então faço também parte do grupo We Exist. Este ano, fui aceite na universidade dos meus sonhos, a Amsterdam University of the Arts, Academie Voor Theater en Dans (ATD), no programa Expanded Contemporary Dance. Apesar da minha grande vontade de estudar lá, nada é possível sem recursos financeiros suficientes. Já juntei algum dinheiro ao longo do ano, mas como esta é uma grande mudança e não há qualquer tipo de ajuda por parte do estado português, o que consegui poupar não chega para me manter até encontrar alguma estabilidade lá. Por isso, criei este GoFundMe. Sei que muitas pessoas podem não conseguir ajudar financeiramente, mas só por partilharem já estão a ajudar bastante!
