My name is Kam, I am 25 years old and I live in Washington, DC. I am an Afro Latino trans male seeking financial support for my gender-affirming top surgery. 

After many years of research and navigating the medical system, I have finally secured a location to get my gender-affirming surgery. I have found out that my insurance will cover 80%, but I have lost much of my income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and I still need help covering the remaining 20%, as well as pre and post-surgical needs. 

Your support will help me pay for surgical fees, medications my insurance does not cover, transportation to and from my appointments, a safe space for my healing process where I won't need to stress my body, as well as housing/basic needs while I am not able to work.

I have been waiting to do this for close to a decade now. Between dealing with my own personal anxiety, the conditions that I have been faced with, and having to maintain a certain lifestyle to be a functioning member of society, I have not been able to do what I need to feel comfortable in my body. With your support, I can finally make this happen.
