Hello everyone!

My name is Sam. I am 26 years old. I work, study and stream every now and then.

I currently live alone in a rented studio, trying my best to achieve my biggest dream of all time: becoming a professional voice actor.

For the last 2-3 months I have followed a voice acting course which is available for anyone. However, the ones who perform exceptionally well will get an invitation to follow a professional course that takes half a year, which will drill the voice acting in you at a professional level. My teachers are people who have made it in the voice acting world, acting in many different Dutch advertisements, corporate/narrative pieces and even worked for the likes of Disney.

I am currently still doing the normal course, but a few days ago I have been invited to follow the professional course. It was quite literally the most exciting e-mail I have ever received. They are even willing to provide me voice acting lessons in English - which has always been one of my big wishes - despite their students never really asking for English lessons.

The only thing holding me back from doing this right now is money. Unfortunately, due to the level and length of the course and the professional equipment I will be receiving, the price is incredibly high. It comes to a total of about 4000 euros, but I refuse to ask éverything from other people. It already took some friends of mine to convince me to make the GoFundMe, as I tend to never ask for money from anyone. There is just no way that I can reach this by myself before April (which is when it starts).

However, this literally is my biggest dream ever. And now that I'm in the flow of voice acting I desperately want to continue it, because I genuinely believe with all my heart that I got this, especially with so much faith from my teachers.

I have done things like subathons before, and without any expectations the support in those always blew me away. I believe it's a great and fun way for the people involved to try and also get money for this cause.
