Support me in following Jesus to YFN!!

Hello friends!!

My name is Caroline Brashears and I’m 17 years old! 2 and a half years ago, the Lord radically encountered me on a mission trip I was only on because my friends were going. I was in a dark, dark, bad, bad place, but Jesus met me where I was. I can’t describe the moment everything changed in words. All I know was once I was blind, and now I can see. Once I was dead, and now I’m alive. Once I rotted in my bedroom for a whole summer with towels over my window to block out the light. I carried depression, deception, anxiety, addiction, loneliness, and destructive habits like 500 pound weights on my back but one look at Jesus changed everything. One touch of his garment and I was set free and walk in more and more freedom everyday. He brought me into the light. Now, all I want of my life is to give it up. To proclaim Jesus even if it means I’ll face rejection. My dream is to be where he is, to partner with him in his story no matter how big or small. Intimately knowing Jesus was all I was made for. I applied to an internship called CORE one week before the deadline after randomly remembering Christ for the Nations after a worship event. I went through all the necessary application steps and have just felt such a strong stirring in my spirit that the Lord is up to something new and wants to do a new thing this summer. :)

Core is a 6-week internship at Youth for the Nations (YFN) (June 2nd - July 13th)! YFN holds camps for students for 5 weeks during the summer. Being the largest spirit-filled camp in the southern United States, there is a new group of around 1,000 students that come each week and leave radically encountered and changed by the Holy Spirit (one encounter changes everything). This internship is an immersive experience where I get to serve right alongside the YFN staff as we get to watch the Lord take his people—his reward. My time will be packed with responsibilities! I’ll be helping with everything from refereeing nation games and crowd control to greeting and altar ministry. Plus, I’ll be learning about different aspects of ministry and getting hands-on experience that will shape me for years to come. More importantly, I’ll be involved in seeing lives changed through the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s an opportunity I know will deeply impact me and my generation.

Now, I’m reaching out because I need your support. First and most importantly, in prayer. I don’t operate without prayer. YFN doesn’t operate without prayer. We are sheep being led by our shepherd. We are simply following the leader. So, please be praying that the Lord will have his way!! Right now Jesus as high priest is standing at the right hand of the Father interceding for every nation, tribe, tongue, and people to know Him. Let us come into agreement with that! Let us partner with Jesus in intercession! Second, I need your support financially. The cost for me to attend this internship is 1,700. This covers everything I’ll need while in Dallas! I’d be so grateful if you could help me make this dream a reality. Whether it’s a small or large donation, every bit helps and goes directly toward supporting this life-changing experience.
