Hello!! My name is Beatriz, I'm a Fashion Design first class honours graduate and I want to show that fashion can be fun, accessible and a force for good. I've been offered the opportunity of my dreams to study for a two-year Masters in Responsible Fashion Design at IED Milan, a global centre for creativity that sets many of the themes for how fashion plays out around the world. Fashion has the power to inspire change and the course in Milan will equip me with the knowledge and skills I need to be a part of that change. I care deeply about minimising the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry, specifically focusing on long term thinking and teaching people to appreciate what they already have. If you'd like to see more of my work, please check out my Linkedin! (www.linkedin.com/in/beatriz-sartorelli-gyuricza)
I currently have two part-time jobs as well as additional work fulfilling commissions and teaching workshops at the weekends so I am trying to save as much as I possibly can. My parents will support me the best that they can, but I am facing a financial gap that means I cannot cover the course and living costs. I am currently pursuing a scholarship, but unfortunately, even with a scholarship, I have a shortfall of approximately £4K.
Here's where I need your help. The total costs for tuition, materials, and living expenses are outside of my current means. I am asking you: my friends, my family, and community to help me bridge that gap. All contributions will go towards essential living expenses and course costs. Every donation - no matter how small - will bring me one step closer to my dream. I promise to share my experiences and my progress to keep you updated on how your generous support is making a difference. Thank you so much for your time, and for considering my request. Many thanks,
Beatriz
