My name is Hadiya Pleasant-Jones , and I’m a passionate chef and culinary student with a dream that’s finally within reach — to study and train abroad in France.

I’ve been selected to participate in a prestigious international culinary program, where I’ll have the rare opportunity to work in Michelin-starred restaurants, study regional cuisines firsthand, and deepen my understanding of the culinary arts in the heart of Europe. This is more than a trip — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will help shape my career as a private chef, food entrepreneur, and cultural storyteller through food.

Why This Matters
