I never thought i'd be in a position to write something like this, but life has taken an unexpected and overwhelming turn. Over the past months, my family and I have been living through difficult but mostly manageable struggles. My mum suffers with a medical condition that makes work life extremely difficult for her , and a couple of months ago, her job fell through completely, leaving me to take care of rent, utilities, and all of our living expenses. My grandma, with whom I lived with for my entire life beside my mum, took a turn for the worse in her health, needed hospitalization, and unfortunately suddenly passed away. My grandma was a mainstay in my life and played the role of a second mum for me. Her passing left us with expenses to honor her life in a proper way however as you can imagine our living situation has felt the impact of this too.

My mum's health has drastically declined. She had started a new job, but due to her worsening condition and new medications, she has been unable to work and had to resign. She's now fully dependent on me - emotionally, physically, and financially.

My grandma's passing and my mum's failing health have caused me to use up my savings to afford rent, utilities, bills, and living expenses, on top of funeral expenses. Then with no warning, yesterday afternoon i was unexpectedly, through no fault of my own, made redundant from my job and i am suddenly without any income. As the sole earner in our household over the past few months, i'm now faced with no income, rent and bills due, and my mum needing full-time care. I'm actively searching for a new job, but the situation is critical in the short term. I'm reaching out with humility to ask for help to keep us going while i get back on my feet. I have nowhere else to turn for support.
