Support Marvin C's Fight for Medical Care
Donation protected
My name is Virginia, I am 23 yrs old and I’m the daughter of Marvin C. My father Marvin Chas been in a coma at the intensive care unit at the University of Louisville hospital since June 12th 2024. The hospital is threatening to deport him to Guatemala, a place he hasn’t been to in 30 years; where he has no support network. My dad’s condition would get worse, he could even die if he’s transferred to Guatemala.
About 16 years ago my father suffered a work accident that has caused seizures. On June 12th my father had a seizure where he hit is head which has lead to a coma. On Thursday, June 20th 2024 the University of Louisville Hospital started heavily pressuring me and my family to either disconnect him or send him to Guatemala. This is considered a medical deportation because we are not consenting to his transfer outside of the U.S.
Basically, UofLH is stating that because my father has no insurance, they will not and could not transfer him to Kindred or any other hospital in the U.S. I am creating this go fund me to cover some of my dad’s medical expenses because I am fighting for him to receive the care he needs in the U.S., but I don’t know what the future holds. Anything helps and is appreciated! Please pray for us
