Support Mckenlie's Battle Against Ewing Sarcoma

Hello, my name is Alex Brooks. I am a friend of Kristen Boley. Kristen and I have been friends for about 6 years. Kristen’s daughter Mckenlie is 14 years old. She recently just finished her 8th grade school year. She is headed into 9th grade on the colorguard team! Now that it’s summer, MK should be spending her time having fun outside with friends and family, but starting Friday, she will be starting chemo.

Here is a little message from Kristen, “McKenlie started having some ankle pain during the volleyball season this past fall. We attributed it to her ankle sprain she had years ago. We iced and took meds and it seemed to ease up. Well, it never really went away so we went to Andrews Sports Medicine for them to look at her. Dr. J suggested PT which we did and it helped a little but not much change so we went back for a follow up. He decided to do an MRI, the results were a mass on her ankle/heel. He said we needed to follow up with an oncologist orthopedic to have a biopsy done to see exactly what it is. So we went to UAB and met with Dr. Siegel and she had the biopsy done on April 26… the results came back as malignant small round blue cell tumor. He thinks when the final report comes back it will likely be Ewings Sarcoma. We are being sent to Children's to see an oncologist. Dr. Siegel feels it needs treatment prior to talking about removal. We are trusting God is in control and he has a plan (we may not know what it is yet.) and he is gonna take care of our girl.” from Kristen.

On May 28th, it was confirmed that MK does have Ewing Sarcoma, and it has spread to her lungs and abdomen as well. I am setting up this GoFundMe account to help raise money for the family during the next few months. All proceeds will go to the Boley family. Please keep the prayers coming!!
